Colich Construction is seeking a highly professional, motivated and organized SUPERINTENDENT with underground sewer / pipeline experience. In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain a safe operating work site and ensure compliance with all applicable codes (OSHA, etc.).
- Plan, schedule and supervise craft employee activities.
- Communicate project issues, employee issues and client issues to the Project Manager.
- Submit accurate reports and other paperwork.
- Resolve construction problems in the field.
- Monitor completion of entry permits and CDL trip books.
- Order materials, ensuring that crews are supplied at all times.
- Prepare billing worksheets and other pre-invoice documents.
- Budget review.
- Attend pre-construction meetings.
- Ongoing, day-to-day maintenance of good relations with clients and public officials such as police, DWP employees, etc.
- Assist with labor relations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE :
- AA degree in construction methods and practices.
- Underground sewer / pipeline experience required.
- 10 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
- 7 years supervisory experience in the construction industry, directing and supervising construction activities and skilled and semi-skilled workers.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, practices and operations.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively within the company and with government officials.
- Commercial driver's license
